Fulfillment Continues
Hey, WIFWULF pack! We're now almost two months into fulfillment, so we wanted to drop a quick line and update you on the progress, as well as answer a few ongoing questions.
First, we're so thankful to see the love WIFWULF has been getting from those who've recieved their copies. We're deeply thankful that the book has finally released and is making its way to the homes of so many backers.
If you have not yet received your copy, please ensure that you have filled out your Backerkit survey.
If you have not received your survey, please contact us here on Kickstarter and we'll make sure you get your copy!
As for those of you who have filled out your surveys and still haven't received your copy, the next wave of fulfillment is shipping this week. So keep an eye on your mail!
Problems? We're here to help.
We are aware that several folks have received their packages but have reported missing or damaged items. Each of those errors has been catalogued by us and transferred to our fulfillment providers, who have assured us that they are taking care of all re-shipping this week. If you had an error, a missed book, or a missing/damaged item, you will not be charged for this shipping.
We will continue to answer individual messages as we can - so if you have an error, please report it as a message on Kickstarter. This is very helpful in making sure we get everyone the books, art, pins, and more that you deserve. We are insisting at all times that your problems be handled quickly, but please understand that some of the timing is out of our hands as it relies on our fulfillment provider, who is in touch exclusively with Vault and not the creative team directly.
We understand this is frustrating for some - it is frustrating for us as well. But we're doing everything in our power to make sure every backer is heard and taken care of.

FULFILLMENT BEGINS!

Good News: WIFWULF is fulfilling!
It's been an incredibly long journey - longer than any of us anticipated - to get here, but we're so thankful and proud to announce that the exclusive Kickstarter version of WIFWULF, as well as all the add-ons, will begin shipping to backers from our partners at Vault Comics this week!
Those of you who have filled out your surveys should be seeing your copies soon! We can't wait to hear you howl.
We are also still working on international shipping solutions, so we hope to have some news on that front soon.
That said, we are also getting reports that some comics and books retailers have broken release date on WIFWULF and begun selling the retail version a few weeks early. We do want to let you know that our priority - as always - has been getting the book to you, the backers who made it possible, before it releases at retail. To that end, we asked Vault to hold the retail version back for a few weeks - and they instructed retailers to not release the book until May 8th. It was too late to stop the book from shipping to those who ordered it - the rules of the book market are arcane - but if you see versions out there at your local shop, please know that those are breaking street date and it's out of our control.
Also note: the KS version of the book will never be sold at retail, so any lucky person who snapped one up from a retailer this week did not get the same book you will be receiving in the next few weeks.

The Results Are In
Hey, WIFWULF pack!
Last week, we sent out our BackerKit surveys but found that there was a lot of confusion on our shipping rates - and especially a consensus that the shipping and handling number seemed too damn high.
In concert with the team at Vault Comics, we've gone over our shipping numbers and have the following updates. While we know this is unlikely to satisfy everyone, please understand that it is simply the best we can do - especially given the current state of logistics and worldwide shipping.
FIRST: We have managed to reduce our shipping rates for US backers only at the following three tiers:
- $18 Run with the Pack Early Bird: US shipping adjusted from $15.50 --> $8.85 (domestic media mail rate)
- $20 Run with the Pack: US shipping adjusted from $15.50 --> $8.85 (domestic media mail rate)
- $30 Join the Pack: US shipping adjusted from $15.50 --> $13.75
These numbers have been updated automatically for everyone, including for folks who already filled out their surveys. So you will only be charged for these rates, not the original rates, regardless of if you have filled out your survey or not. This will change the average shipping time from 1-3 days to 5-8 days, as we have achieved this in part by not offering priority shipping.
Due to parcel size, there's nothing we can do about shipping rates for shipments containing posters. That's just what it costs to move something that size around without a bulk shipping discount rate, which we do not qualify for.
Unfortunately, we are not able to make similar reductions in international shipping charges. We attempted, but at best, we could realize a reduction of $1-2 dollars - and if we did that, we'd run the risk of overall delivery issues that would be too complicated and costly to justify the minimal savings. Rates are based on flat full-pound cut-offs - so if we drop to the lower overall parcel weight tier, we run the risk of stuck, mis-delivered, or undeliverable packages. International shipping is simply an expensive proposition in the post-COVID world, so I'm sorry to say this is the best we can do for our international backers while ensuring you receive the book and your pledge rewards in one piece.
As previously stated, we appreciate your patience and your willingness to make your voice heard - but we also hope you'll understand that we have now done everything in our power to bring these numbers down. At this point, all that is left is to get you WIFWULF.
What's Next?
Please fill out your surveys! We will begin charging cards on all filled surveys in the next 48 hours, so those of you who have already filled out will see those charges post soon.
Those who have changed emails, please let us know ASAP. We will collect those IDs and get these changed on the BackerKit side - this must be done manually, so please be patient as we get that info coordinated over the next few days.

The Shipping Cost Is Too Damn High

You Howl, We Hear
We're gonna keep this one short and sweet: we have heard from a number of our backers that the shipping cost for WIFWULF is simply too high. And we agree.
Here's the thing: these numbers were provided by our fulfillment partners and expressed to us as immovable hard costs. But after reading your responses, we have returned to them this morning with your concerns and the team at Vault understand the problem and are now in the process of finding a way to bring the shipping and handling numbers for WIFWULF down.
We will make sure we find a more affordable fulfillment option, then recirculate surveys to you so that savings can be passed along.
